"Cheers to Champagne Grapes". 6 in x 6 in. oil on panel

These tiny little grapes are so sweet!   But alas, champagne is not made from these grapes.   But I couldn't resist putting in a glass of champagne.   And the red ribbon goes along with the festivities!

"Blue, Yellow, Green" 6in x 6in oil

Thought I'd try lots of color, maybe I went overboard but I like the brilliance.

Thank you for viewing my art.   Click here for pricing information.

"Two Grape clusters" 6in x 6in. oil

Life seems crazy at present so I thought I needed some solitary time to paint.   I love the sunny feel to this painting.

Isolation. 6in x 6in. oil

It has been too long since I painted a daily painting.  Since I have been staying home I thought I might as well be productive.  When it warms up a bit I think I might clean out my shed!   Heaven forbid!

"Figs in, Figs out, Figs are what it's all about" 6in x 6in oil

This title was inspired by the Nappy Roots song, "Trouble in Trouble out".   Another song I like by them is "Trouble of this world", they both are on the "Ladykiller" sound track.   All that aside, I bought these figs the other day and they are so delicious!   I can't stop eating them!   Of course, these have been eaten.  Maybe I should have titled it "Now you see them, now you don't" 😁

"The Getaway" 6 in x 6 in oil painting

I believe I have said this before,  I love painting cherries!   They were trapped in the cup and then all of a sudden the cup tipped over and they all made their getaway!     Can't you just see them all rolling out and escaping?

"Red and White" 8x8 in oil painting

I love having the simplicity of using just red and white... well the white is not really white because there are other colors to make it come alive.   As you all know, cherries are one of my favorite things to paint.

The slumber party 6" x 6" oil

These little peppers were having such a good time dancing the Cha Cha when all of a sudden they all felt exhausted and dropped in their tracks and fell asleep.   The Club owner found them the next morning all sprawled out on the dance floor perfectly content.

"Eel hand roll" 6"x6" oil on Ampersand gessobord

To purchase please contact me.

Eel is delicious!   For all you who don't eat sushi, the eel is cooked and the outside of this roll is a wrapping made of seaweed which really does not have any flavor to speak of it just holds it all together.   Yum!

"Rainbow roll" 6"x6" oil on Ampersand gessobord

Sold
I love the rainbow roll because it has all my favorites on top of the roll.   Well it does not have the eel which is also a favorite.   One of my favorite parts was the reflections that the chop sticks make in the soy sauce.

"Sushi Break!" 6"x6" oil on Ampersand gessobord

To purchase please contact me.

As you can see I have started a new series.   I love sushi but it has gotten so expensive!   I guess because it is popular now.   I think I liked it better when it wasn't so popular.    If I can paint it fast enough I can eat it.

I love sushi. Sushi what I love to eat. Bite they little heads off and nibble on they tiny feet.
Actually this poem was written by a cat and was about mice.   I used creative liberties.

"The have and the havenots" 6"x6" oil on gessobord

Sold

The having and not having here is about the stems, just in case it wasn't obvious.    The haves are free and loose to do what they want and the havenots... well you know.  It could be that the haves just don't know what to do with themselves and the havenots are more focused.  I guess it depends on how you look at it.   Side note: I have a friend that makes these incredible hats!  Mary LaRue, check out her blog.

Announcement:
I'm having an open studio this weekend so if you are in the area of Louisville Kentucky please stop by.
908 E. Jefferson St,  Friday Sept 17, 2-5 and Saturday, 10 -3.  Would love to meet you!
