"Three's a crowd" 5"x7" oil on canvas

Sold

I know I said I wasn't going to do any more things that rot but I wanted to do these one more time before I eat them. I have been eying them all week. One of them is ripe enough now. Persimmons color range varies, some are more orange and others are more golden yellow. I think that subtle color difference is one of the reasons I like to paint them plus the leafy thing on top is very interesting, unique really. It is all one piece and kind of square. In order to get the shadow color to appear darker than the light side, you must add a bit of the opposite color. In this case I used green and blue with a touch of white so it was not too dark.
