A Berry Light Load 6"x6" oil

This cute VW toy car belongs to someone else and I must give it back soon so I am trying to get a lot of "milage" out of it.   I know you are groaning over the pun!  Get over it.   Every time I paint this little car I think I have exhausted every possibility but then later or in a day or two another idea pops into my minds eye and I am compelled to paint another.   Don't you think this little blackberry looks like a very dark christmas tree?   Maybe there should be a north star. ...and this is how it starts.

1955 Ford Truck 6"x6" oil

Sold
This 1955 Ford truck came all the way from Texas and had been lowered so close to the ground that you could only get a piece of paper between the street and the bumper.  Well, maybe you could get two sheets of paper under there, but anyway the cab was so tall that you could not even look into the windows to see the dashboard!  Pretty cool truck!

1961 Cadillac convertible 5"x7" oil

We were on our way back to our car to go home when we spied this 1961 Cadillac.  The owner was getting into the car to leave when I asked to photograph the car.   Actually it was not his car but his daughter's car.  He wanted to buy her a car and the only one she wanted was this one.   They drove it to Louisville from St Louis MO.    Isn't she a beauty!  The car is black but because it was so shiny it reflected all the colors around it, the sky and grass.

1933 Willy 6"x6" oil

Here is the first in my series of cars I saw at the 42nd National Street Rod Show here in Louisville.   This 1933 Willy was beautiful with its shiny orange paint job that was the picture of perfection.   It was one of the last cars I saw as we walked back to our car worn out with all the walking in the hot sun.  I could not wait until I was home, showered and had a glass of cool ice tea in hand.
