"She was here a minute ago" 8in x 8in oil

Miss Pink Lady was tired of all the attention so she decided to hide out in the bowl room.   Her friends were confused, they thought she just went to make a phone call but there were no phone booths anymore....  she was here a minute ago.

Thanks for viewing my art ;-)

The Exception. 6in x 6in Oil

I can remember to paint but I forget to post!  This one of little apples has been on my mantle and I have enjoyed looking at it for 5 months!   Painting it was the important thing to do and evidently posting it wasn't.   Here it is now!   Completely dry, varnished and ready to ship just in case anyone likes it as much as I do.   Cute little guys :-)

Thank you for liking my art.

The Witness 6" x 6" oil

Is the red pepper the witness?   Or is the apple in hiding the witness?  I guess it depends on what they were a witness to!   You know, I have been listening to some murder mysteries and I think it is seeping into my work!    It's shocking!

In the dog house again! 6" x 6" oil

For the last 20 years I have been listening to audio books while painting.    I must have listened to hundreds and the very first one I listened to was "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand and I listened to it twice.    I just finished one that I liked called "The Lost Prince" by Selden Edwards.   Before that I listened to The Cuckoo's Calling" and "The Silkworm" by Robert Galbraith which is really JK Rowling.   I am dyslexic and have a hard time speaking while painting which makes teaching a challenge but for some reason I can paint and listen at the same time which I am so grateful.   Listening to these audio books keeps me painting and keeps me looking forward to painting every day.

Hiding 6" x 6" oil

Two of these apples can't figure out where the other one went!  This is just like life, the truth is just waiting over the edge waiting to be revealed.   Hiding in plain sight if you have the right view!

Oh sunny day! 6"x6" oil

Finally we had a sunny day!   Yea!!  You know folks, I have lost my Muse.   Yes, it has been serious.   I have not been inspired to paint anything for the past 6 weeks.   And when I paint it is a struggle.   However, today one of my students brought in some sunflowers to paint and they looked so fabulous I decided to paint them.   So here is my effort.  I must say that my students did a fabulous job on their paintings of sunflowers!

Apple shed 6"x8" oil

This was a very windy day at the orchard and my easel almost went airborne so I tethered it down with an auger and bungee cord.   I wanted to capture the dark red tree and the pink cloud.   Except for the wind the weather was perfect!

I'm blank.  Can't think of anything to say about this piece.   It's self explanatory.  Maybe it has nothing to say either.
