What I liked about this tree was the size, shadow and that it looked like a giant next to the smaller orchard trees all bathed in the end of day light.

Sunny Kentucky day 6"x8" oil

This tree was all by itself and it looked like it was separating the different fields.   I love the way the sky peeks through and the coolness of the distant trees.

Apple shed 6"x8" oil

This was a very windy day at the orchard and my easel almost went airborne so I tethered it down with an auger and bungee cord.   I wanted to capture the dark red tree and the pink cloud.   Except for the wind the weather was perfect!
