"Pink Daisies" 8" x 8" Oil

These daisies are so happy in the green blown glass vase.   I just could not squeeze all these on a 6x6 inch canvas.    I am going to offer it at a 6x6" price though!

These daisies waltzed into my studio and I just had to paint them.   Please excuse my recent absence from painting but I have been consumed with designing and sewing clothing.  I have been sewing since I was 10 and designed clothing off and on in my career and it seems that it has appeared in my life once again.   I do miss painting so maybe I will find time to paint on a regular basis again soon.

I started this daily painting venture because I was inspired by artist Carol Marine.   I follow her blog daily and  she is a wonderful person and artist.  She lives in Austin TX and  I found out a couple of days ago that their house and neighborhood were burned to ashes due to the drought they are having.

Cut flower 5"x7" oil on panel

This pair of scissors were our kitchen scissors and we referred to them as the red handled scissors.  Now they are so worn that there is hardly any red left.   I had them sharpened last year and now they cut as good as new.
