Awake and asleep 11"x14" oil

We had planned for just Jen posing but that soft cushy dress was just too tempting for Whirly Girl.  She thought it was great fun and stared out at us as if she were smirking.

Joshua is a faithful and loving companion.   While painting this commission I could just hear Joshua panting and waiting for me to finish.

"Brittany Spaniel" 8"x8" oil on wood panel

Available for $160, contact me.

I'm gearing up for the Kentuckana Cluster Dog Show here in Louisville Kentucky, March 17-21, so I will be working on a few new pieces to add to my collection of pet portraits.   You can see more of my pet portraits on my website (listed below).   This is the painting I've been working on today.   It still needs a few more touch-ups but mostly it is done.   I took this photograph of this puppy last year at the Cluster Show, he was such a sweet dog.   This painting is on a 3/8" wood panel.

"Guard Dog" 6"x6" oil on canvas

These marbles need a lot of watching over.  One, they are in big demand and two, when they fall on the floor they roll everywhere and don't want to be found!   So this dog, we'll call him Iron Dog for now, will watch over them, keep them safe and report any problem that might come up.    His official duty is Chief Nutcracker but at the moment he's temporarily laid off from that job.
