"Old dial up" 8in x 10in oil

I am experimenting with a new technique.  Don't know if it will work for everything but I won't know until I work with it a little further.  I am using this on my larger work for my Pyro Gallery show this Spring.

"Riinnnggg" 6" x 6" oil

These phones had such a distinct loud ring or I guess the loudness depended on if you turned up the "louder" dial on the bottom.

"Just a phone" 6" x 6" oil

There is nothing quite like the feel of dialing a rotary phone.    It makes a rhythm of sound when you dial the number and the weight of the object is so solid.

"The Package" 18" x 18" oil on wood panel

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

A lot of you probably think I have been lazy, but no such luck.   I have cleaned my studio, rehung my art, participated in a city wide open studio weekend, got some much needed home repair work done and attended a workshop.   Now I am energized and ready to paint!

This is painted on a wood panel with 1.5" wood sides.   I hope to do more paintings in the larger size.
