I had a hard time getting a model for Friday, when I finally got this one I had a pose in mind from William McGregor Paxton called "the morning paper". My version is more poster like, it is just the way I saw it once it was set up.

Recently I purchased a small book "100 faces" by artist Karin Jurick and it inspired me to paint this small profile.   I don't know if I could ever be so bold as she is in her painting with her luscious paint strokes and color.   This is my version, a little more sedate.
