Three persimmons 6" x 6" oil

Three persimmons... say that three times in a row!   I had a hard time.   One of my students left these for me to paint and eat.  Think I will make some persimmon bread.

I tried to keep my brush strokes more painterly in this one. When ever I take a step forward I think I take a step back. I applied to the "Daily Painters .com" site back in August. It is a jury process. I just found out that I was not accepted to be on their site and I am kinda bummed about that. I guess there is something else out there for me. We all (artist) get rejected all the time for all kinds of reasons we just have to keep marching on and have faith.
