Caldwell portrait, 16" X 20" charcoal

This is the original charcoal drawing of the commission portrait.     I then had an old fashion black and white photo taken and hand tinted it in oils, Marshall oils especially made for photographs.   Below is the hand tinted version.   It was so nice to do a charcoal drawing.  Felt like old times.   Drawing is my first love.

Wow, what a beautiful job you did. I have never seen this done before - hand tinting in oil. I assume it's on paper?
