This is one of my early works when I was learning to paint in oils. I believe I had been painting about a year and took a workshop on the Caravaggio method of painting. I choose this detail of the Madonna of Loreto, also known as Madonna of the Pilgrims. Last month I had some wonderful giclee's made of this piece. I'm going out of town today and this will be my last email until I return. There is no internet where I'm going. Aren't I lucky.
