Pen and ink 6"x6" oil

This is a pair of tortoise shell glasses from the 1920's.   I have used them a number of years back with an earlier prescription but switched to something else because I was afraid I would wear out the parts and they are probably not replaceable because all the findings are gold.   But they are nice to look at.

"Well Scarlett, do you think I should return to work?  I've had such a nice time of lazing around.   Harry O"Green and I have been watching movies and eating buttery popcorn.    I can hear the squishing of paint tubes calling me back to the palette."    Fluffy is reluctant to start up her daily routine.  She just wants to run away to Argentina and Tango.    But that takes two!

As many of you know, I hire a model every Friday to pose for our "Go Figure Group", an open studio session for a group of dedicated artist.   We have the same pose for two 3-hour sessions.   Last week I posted this same model from a different view.   Today I thought the view from above and the right of her was interesting.   I hope you think so too.   It is challenging to come up with something different the second week.    When I started this group I needed 2 maybe 3 sessions to paint something worth keeping.   Now I use it as my daily painting so I have to get it done in one session, if not I have to paint another for my daily.

This small pair of pliers are less than 4.5" long.   The smallest pair of adjustable pliers I've seen.   Painted this before I went to my family dinner.   I hope everyone had a warm Thanksgiving!
