Unadorned 12"x12" oil on canvas

Today is a spring surprise, it is late afternoon, only 48°, windy and damp so needless to say it is dark outside.   The  lighting for this one is a warm lamp on one side and the cool north light on the other.  The only natural light in my front studio room is two 9' tall windows.   I usually just a moveable lamp with a regular bulb which gives off a warm light.   I like it, it is simple and inexpensive.

Today is the Kick off celebration to the few weeks prior to Derby.   I live just blocks from the riverfront where the Air Show is and the largest fireworks in the country "Thunder over Louisville". My little dog does not like the noise that the air show makes nor the booms of the fireworks.   But I intend to sit out on my front step and watch the fireworks wrapped in a blanket.  Maybe with a Kentucky Bourbon for extra warmth.

You seem to handle the challenge of folds with such ease, Claudia. I love this series.
