Four hands 6"x6" oil

Sold
Every Sunday Daily Paintworks posts a weekly challenge.   This week is my challenge on that site, click here for this information.
The challenge is to paint the hands simply. Capture the gesture in a painted sketch, paint in the dark values then add the light. Squint your eyes as you look at the hands to see the difference between the light and shadow areas. Keep those values as you paint the correct cool or warm "value colors". Painting in the overall hand shape to start helps to keep it in the correct proportion. Here are 4 hands to be painted on a 6"x6" panel making each hand fit roughly in a 3"x3" square.

looks like a tough challenge. You did a great job. Maybe I'll give it a try. I just decided to start doing more figures and try to improve my drawing skills. I visit you blog often to admire your work.
