"Surrounded" 6 in x 6 in

Sold

I think I have started a new series without doing it intentionally.  I do like keeping it simple by using one type of ribbon.   This ribbon is a sheer magenta with a thin wire on the satin edge which makes it hold its curl.  I like the addition of another object.

This ribbon painting is beautiful! I love the way you captured the transparent quality and also the shiny edging. Great work!

I think this one is my favorite, so far. I love the warm color combination, for one thing. And I am in awe of the way you captured the translucence of the ribbon. And the shadows! This is one of those paintings that make me think, "I wish I could paint like that!"
