Looks like it is just resting it's little stem on the floor. I did a figurative portrait this morning but I don't think it was good enough to show. So here is another. I've been catching up with your newer paintings and I have enjoyed them a lot. Your compositions are colorful and vital, for instance this pear, it's not completely inside the painting, and that makes it dynamic, in my humble opinion. I love it.
